Originally from Pforzheim in the Black Forest region of Germany, Martin Beffert has been designing and making jewellery in Mauritius since 1993. As a third generation Master-goldsmith he has crafted thousands of pieces since beginning his studies at the well-known Goldschmiedeschule Pforzheim at age 17.
Together with his partner Angela, Martin today runs a successful jewellery export business as well as the luxury local brand bearing his name. Unable to contain his passion for creating jewellery, he has also passed on his love for the craft to his daughter Lisa, who today completes the family business.
One of Martins most important values start at the beginning of the crafting process with his choice of raw materials; he never compromises on their quality, choosing only the finest metals, gems and diamonds for his designs. He also lays great emphasis on designing jewellery pieces that not only appease the eye but also meet technical standards and ensure the highest comfort to the wearer. Martin Beffert designs are unique, never mass-produced. Special designs are often originals, existing only once in their form, offering exclusivity and individuality to its wearer.
